Why does my golf cart shake? 

Golf carts can begin shaking because of a faulty spark plug, bad alignment of the tires and poor suspension.

 

Cause of golf cart shaking:

Tire issues: 

In most cases, the golf cart shaking issues arise due to damages to the tire. The tires of the golf cart may behave in a different way when it’s out of balance. To recover from this, you have to replace & realign your tires.

 

Brake issues: 

If your golf cart shake issues only occur when you apply the brakes, then it’s the right time to check your brake pads and rotors. Due to excessive use, the metal inside it may start deforming and needs a replacement.

 

Engine firing/Engine mount issues: 

When one or more of your spark plug isn’t working, then it may cause your golf cart to shake. You should also check the engine mount.

 

Suspension issue: 

If your golf cart has an issue in the front suspension, then it may cause a shake or vibrate. If there is damage in the suspension, then your golf cart may begin shaking during driving.

 

What causes a golf cart to jerk? 

A golf cart begins to jerk while starting due to the wrong alignment of ITS and when an excessive amount of water enters inside the components.

 

Cause of Golf cart jerking:

Issues in a solenoid: 

The golf cart may cause a jerk because of the solenoid issues. You need to check the voltage reading (normal range or not) of the solenoid. If the range is more or less than the normal range, then replace this.

 

Excessive water: 

If an excessive amount of water enters into the sensor and micro switch of your golf cart and in other components, then it may cause a jerk. To recover from this, you have to wait until it dries out. 

 

Bad alignment of ITS: 

If there is a bad alignment of the Inductive Throttle sensor, it also causes your golf cart issues. For this, you need an ohmmeter to take a reading and make necessary adjustments.

 

Why does my golf cart shake on takeoff?

If your golf cart shakes while taking off,  it may be due to faulty batteries, adaptors, or resistors. 

 

Causes of golf cart shaking on takeoff:

 

Dead batteries:

The cause of golf cart shaking may be due to low batteries and dead batteries. For this, you can check the batteries and replace them if possible.

 

Bad clutches: 

If your golf cart’s clutch is in bad condition, it may be cause jerk and shake during the starting and stopping stage.

 

Bad adaptor & resistor: 

There may be an issue in your golf cart if it has a bad adaptor and resistor. To recover from this, you have to install the new one. 

 

Why does my golf cart shake when braking?  

The golf cart shake issues arise due to damages in steering, damaged rotor, vibration and pedal pulsation or incorrect tire balance.

  1. To fix this issue, you have to locate the yellow wire attached to the golf cart’s solenoid.
  2. After this, attach a jumper wire with alligator clips to the solenoid’s end and locate the motor controller.
  3. Now try to start your golf cart by moving it a small distance. If the vehicle moves smoothly without shaking, it’s okay; otherwise, take this to a servicing center of electric golf cart and repair.

 

Why does my golf cart vibrate when accelerating? 

The common cause of golf cart vibrates when accelerating due to damaged inner CV joints, broken motor mounts, unbalanced tires or a bent driveshaft.

  1. To fix this issue, you should check the CV joints of your golf cart. Check the driveshaft, whether this is in good condition or not. The CV joints should be well greased. If not, then replace this.
  2. For unbalanced tires, remove the wheel weights and clean them. After cleaning, readjust the wheels until they are in their original position.
  3. If there is an issue with the engine oil, you have to open the oil filter using a socket wrench and drain the pan’s oil. Clean all the parts and install a new oil filter in your golf cart.

 

Why is my golf cart shaking at high speed? 

If your golf cart is shaking at high speed, it may be because of damaged springs in the cart and broken solenoid. 

  1. To fix this issue, you have to replace the springs if it’s often due to excessive use. 
  2. You can also use a steering stabilizer to control your speed and manually change the gear. If still the problem is there, then install a new steering stabilizer. 

 

Why ezgo golf cart shudders?

The EZGI golf cart shudders issues arise due to bad battery cable connections or a damaged spinning wheel.

  1. To fix this issue, first, you need to check the battery connections. You should tight all the loosely connected cables.
  2. After this, conduct a load test on the batteries.
  3. Then jack up the cart’s rear end and turn the switch on. Depress the accelerator and then slightly depress the brake. To perform this, you need a voltmeter and a screwdriver. If still, the problem is there, then take this to an electric golf cart servicing center.

 

How to fix EZGO RXV shaking?

The golf cart Ezgo RXV shaking issues that occur in your golf cart may be due to worn steering parts, loose lug nuts, and loose wheel bearings. This may be due to brake drums and tires.

  1. To fix the issue, check the steerings of your golf cart. If it’s worn, then replace it with the worn steering parts.
  2. You should also check the wheel bearings and adjust or replace this if there are any issues.

  2. Now check whether there is a gap between the front tire and straight edge. Now, adjust the gap if you find any.

How to fix EZGO Marathon shaking?

In most cases, the EZGO marathon golf cart shakes while starting due to tire issues, brake issues, and bad suspension. It may be due to excessive water enters into the components and loosely connected wires.

  1. To fix the issue, you should check whether the wires are connected well and not. Tighten all the wires, nuts, and bolts.
  2. After this, check the tires and remove all the particles which are stuck into them. If you find any broken or damaged tires, then replace them with a new one.
  3. Check the brake/ steerings of your golf cart and repair it if any parts are broken. You should also check the suspension of the EZGO marathon golf cart and repair it if needs.

 

Club Car DS shakes when accelerating

The Club Car DS shakes while accelerating due to various reasons that include low & dead batteries, bad motor controller output regulator, and other issues. It’s usually because of a lousy adaptor and clutches.

 

Steps to fix the issue:

  1. To fix the issue, you have to check your golf cart’s adaptor and resistor, check all its components, and repair and replace the components that need replacement.
  2. You should also check the clutch of your golf cart.
  3. If the clutch is in terrible condition, then you should replace it before it causes severe damage to your golf cart. After making the above points, go for a test ride and check whether the issue is resolved or not.

 

Club Car Precedent shakes when accelerating

The Club Car Precedent shakes when accelerating due to unbranded and damaged tires, bad alignment of tires, and a bad engine.

 

How to fix the issue:

  1. To fix the issue, you should align the tires.
  2. Check the tire’s height, and both tires need to place in the same position. 
  3. Remove the tires and clean them if there are any particles stuck in them. Check the engine of your golf cart, steerings, and solenoids.

Reasons for Yamaha golf cart shuddering

Broken CV joints: 

The CV joints are placed at the end part. If the CV joints are loosely connected and damaged, then it may cause shuddering.

Yamaha G1 golf cart shaking 

The Yamaha G1 golf cart is shaking due to a bad fuel pump, dirty carb, low compression, and bad clutch.

  1. To fix the Yamaha golf cart G1, you should check the fuel pump and engine oil of the golf cart G1. Check the quality of your engine and replace it if you have used this for a long time.

Yamaha G16 golf cart shaking can occur due to bad solenoids, ignition, solenoid breakdown, and faulty batteries.

 

How to fix the issue:

  1. To fix the issue, you should open your golf cart’s tires and engine to check whether it’s in good condition or not.
  2. If the engine is in good condition, check the solenoid and steerings, a clutch of your golf cart. Check whether the battery is in bad condition or not and then go for a replacement if it needs. The process is similar for the different golf cart series.
