How to adjust the Ping G410 hybrid The Ping G410 hybrid can be adjusted using the eight settings on the hosel. The default loft can be increased or decreased by 1° or 1.5°. These settings also allow the lie angle to be either neutral or flat. The flat lie angle setting makes the default lie angle up to 3° flatter than normal. There are five variants of the Ping G410 hybrid, each of which has a different loft and lie angle. The 2-hybrid, 3-hybrid and 4-hybrid clubs are equivalent to 2-iron, 3-iron and 4-iron golf clubs. In comparison to fairway woods, they are at par with 5-wood, 7-wood and 9-wood clubs, respectively. The 5-hybrid and 6-hybrid golf clubs are the equivalents of 5-iron and 6-iron clubs, respectively. These clubs have no fairway wood equivalent. Increasing the loft of the PING G410 hybrid helps promote a draw and close the clubface. Decreasing the loft opens up the clubface and creates a fade. This is done by setting the clubhead of the hybrid accordingly by using a Ping Torx limiting wrench. Although the club allows a total of eight adjustment options, the dot and F settings make no change to the standard or default loft. The steps are the same for all the five Ping G410 hybrid golf clubs. The steps for adjusting the Ping G410 hybrid are given below. Position the Ping G410 hybrid vertically with its club shaft resting on the ground and the clubhead to the top. Insert the Ping Torx limiting wrench into the screw located at the rear of the clubhead. Turn the wrench to the left side or in the anticlockwise direction until the screw becomes loose. Lift the clubhead gently and take it off from its position on the shaft. Place the clubhead once again over the club shaft such that the arrowhead on the clubhead is in line with the desired marking on the club hosel. Put the wrench into the screw once again and turn it a few times to the right side or clockwise direction. Stop the turning when you hear a double-click sound. This sound assures you that the clubhead is firmly seated in place. Overturning can cause damage to the clubhead, club shaft or both. The five settings on the PING G410 Hybrid are: Big + setting – This setting increases the default or standard loft of the club by 1.5°. Big - setting – This setting decreases the default or standard loft of the club by 1.5°. Small + or F+ setting – This setting increases the standard loft of the club by 1°. Small - or F- setting – these setting decreases the standard loft of the club by 1°. One key advantage that players have experienced by increasing their hybrid's loft is that it has helped them achieve more distance and trajectory than with the standard loft. An increased loft also helps golfers in rendering a draw more easily. In contrast, lowering the loft makes the club easier to hit on the fairway. Ping G410 hybrid lie angle adjustment The Ping G410 hybrid supports two settings for the lie angle. One of them is the Neutral setting, while the other is the Flat setting. The Neutral setting makes no change to the default lie angle but can impact the loft. In comparison, the Flat setting flattens the standard lie angle up to 3°. The steps given here walk you through the process of adjusting the lie angle of your Ping G410 hybrid. Keep the Ping G410 hybrid upright with the clubhead upwards and club shaft towards the ground. Put a Ping Torx limiting wrench into the screw behind the clubhead and do a few counterclockwise turns to make it loose. Raise the clubhead upwards and remove it from over the club shaft. Align the arrow mark on the clubhead with the marking on the club hosel in one of the two ways based on the preferred lie settings. Big +, Big -, Small +, Small - or Dot setting – All these settings result in a Neutral lie angle without any change to the default lie angle. Depending on the option chosen, the loft may or may not change by +/-1.5°or +/-1°. F +, F -or F setting – All these settings result in a Flat lie angle. The F setting makes no change to the standard loft while the F + and F - settings increase and decrease the loft respectively. Tighten the screw to secure the clubhead in position by turning the wrench the same number of times in the opposite direction. Ping G410 hybrid flat setting adjustment The Ping G410 hybrid golf club supports three flat-setting adjustments. The default loft either remains the same or increases or decreases by 1° depending on the option chosen. The flat setting results in the standard lie angle getting flattened by up to a maximum of 3°. The steps for incorporating the flat setting adjustment on your Ping G410 hybrid adjustment with the Ping Torx limiting wrench are given below. Place the Ping G410 hybrid straight such that its club shaft and clubhead are towards the bottom and top. Insert the wrench into the screw on the clubhead at its rear. Perform a few left or anticlockwise turns of the wrench to loosen the screw to remove the clubhead. Release the clubhead from its position above the club shaft by raising the clubhead gently. Set the arrowhead on the clubhead in line with one of the following markings on the club hosel. F setting – This flattens the lie angle with no change in the default or standard loft. F + setting – This flattens the lie angle with an increase in the default or standard loft by 1°. F -setting – This flattens the lie angle with a decrease in the default or standard loft by 1°. Fix the clubhead in place by tightening the screw with the same number of turns as in Step 2 in the right or clockwise direction. Stop the turning action as soon as you hear a double-click sound to avoid damaging the hybrid. Players who have opted for the above flat setting method have noticed that their hybrid tends to produce a slice with a flattened lie. The heel of the club tends to be raised from the ground while the toe is towards the ground. Ping G410 hybrid draw settings The Ping G410 hybrid can be set for a draw by increasing the loft. All Ping G410 hybrids feature the same draw setting. This draw settings can be adjusted by following the steps below: Position the Ping G410 hybrid upright with the clubhead and club shaft towards the top and bottom. Loosen the screw located behind the clubhead with some anticlockwise or left turns using the manufacturer’s wrench. Lift the clubhead with mild force and take it off from its place on the club shaft. Align the arrowhead on the clubhead with one of the two club hosel markings mentioned below. Big + setting - This increases the default loft by 1.5° without affecting the lie angle. Small + setting - This increases the default loft by 1° without affecting the lie angle. Seat the clubhead firmly in place by turning the wrench the same number of times in the reverse direction. A double-click sound indicates that the turning can be stopped. Golfers who set their hybrid for a draw find that they gain more trajectory than with the default loft. Also, the increased loft promotes more spin and a higher launch.
