The TaylorMade r7 Driver has fixed loft/lie/face-angle geometry, but it does give you four movable weight cartridges. The 400 cc, 45 in, factory lofts 7.5°, 8.5°, 9.5°, 10.5°, 11.5° baseline determines how aggressive the weight bias should be.

Use impact location before changing hardware

How to adjust the weights
- Use the correct TaylorMade TLC/torque wrench for this generation.
- Loosen only the weight cartridge/screw you intend to move.
- Move or swap the weight to the desired documented port.
- Seat it fully and tighten to the wrench’s normal torque release/click.
- Test several shots before making another change.
Spec combinations and warnings
- Make one weight change at a time and compare several shots from the same tee/ball position.
30-second baseline setup
- Start around half the ball above the crown. If contact is consistently low on the face, raise the tee slightly; if it is excessively high, lower it slightly.
- Start with the stock/neutral weight configuration.
- Mark impact location.
- Change only one weight position at a time.
What not to do
- Do not try to rotate the hosel; the loft is fixed.
- Do not mix random third-party weight masses without understanding total head weight.
- Do not use extreme weight bias to hide a strike problem.
