PING G410 SFT Driver Adjustment Guide, Settings & Chart

The PING G410 SFT driver uses the 8-position Trajectory Tuning 2.0 hosel with loft adjustable ±1.5° and flat-lie settings reaching up to 3° flatter than standard. Its weight system is Fixed heel-side draw weight. Factory lofts captured for this model run 10.5° to 10.5°.

PING publishes this system as ±1.5° loft adjustment with lie up to 3° flatter than standard. The F settings are the flat-family positions.

What the weight system actually does: Fixed heel-side draw weight. It contributes built-in draw bias but is not a normal user shot-shape adjustment.

Use impact location before changing settings

How to adjust the hosel

  1. Support the clubhead and insert the correct PING torque wrench into the hosel screw.
  2. Turn counter-clockwise until the head releases from the adapter.
  3. Align the desired sleeve mark with the head reference mark.
  4. Fully reseat the head before tightening.
  5. Tighten clockwise until the torque wrench clicks, then stop.
  6. Change one variable at a time and hit several shots before changing another.

Lower launch / less spin Move one loft step lower first; test before jumping to the minimum setting.
More draw tendency Use a standard-lie loft setting first; if you need less rightward start, avoid the F/flat family unless fitting data says otherwise. The fixed heel-side weight already supplies draw bias.
More fade tendency Try the F flat-lie family if you fight pulls/hooks or need a more fade-friendly lie; set loft separately. The rear weight is fixed heel-side, so there is no separate Fade weight setting.
Tighter dispersion Return to the standard/neutral hosel and stock weight position, map strike location, then change one control at a time.

Spec combinations and warnings

  • Trajectory Tuning 2.0 has eight positions: five standard-lie loft settings plus F, F+ and F- flat-family settings.
  • The rear/sole weight is not a normal user shot-shape slider on this model.
  • This head is already draw-biased, so a left miss can get worse if you combine maximum draw weighting with a more closed/upright setup.

30-second baseline setup

  1. Start at the standard-dot/stated-loft setting.
  2. Start with roughly half the ball above the crown and mark impact.
  3. Keep the movable weight in its stock/neutral position while establishing loft, unless this model only has Draw/Draw+.
  4. Set launch first, then lie/directional bias, then movable weight.
  5. Re-check strike after every meaningful setting change.

Common mistakes

  • Using an adjustment chart from the wrong PING hosel generation.
  • Changing loft and movable weighting together, then not knowing which change helped.
  • Treating a fixed weight as if it were a shot-shape slider.
  • Assuming every PING backweight has Neutral/Draw/Fade positions.
  • Continuing to tighten after the torque wrench clicks.
