The Cobra Trusty Rusty wedge has 7 listed factory loft options. The listed lofts are 49°, 51°, 53°, 55°, 57°, 59° and 61°. The chart focuses on the stated head lofts themselves; actual launch and spin still depend on delivery, strike and the rest of the build.

How to use it: Use the lower lofts for a stronger, flatter starting point and the higher lofts for easier launch. Actual ball flight still depends heavily on delivered loft and strike.
Loft Spread
The listed lofts cover 12°, from 49° to 61°.
Choice Spacing
The adjacent listed loft gaps run from 2° to 2°, with a median of 2°.
49° vs 61°
Moving from 49° to 61° adds 12° of static loft. The higher-loft option generally starts from an easier-launching, higher-spin baseline.
Trusty Rusty vs Other Cobra Wedge Lofts
This comparison uses each model’s lowest listed loft so the numbers are on the same basis.
| Model | Lowest Loft | Difference |
|---|---|---|
| Trusty Rusty | 49° | This model |
| KING Black Wedge | 48° | 1° lower |
| KING Raw Wedge | 48° | 1° lower |
| KING Snakebite | 48° | 1° lower |
| KING Snakebite Raw | 48° | 1° lower |
How Each Trusty Rusty Loft Changes the Starting Point
| Option | Loft | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| 49 | 49° | This is the strongest listed loft and the lowest-launching starting point within the model. |
| 51 | 51° | This sits between the strongest and weakest listed lofts for a more middle-of-the-range starting point. |
| 53 | 53° | This sits between the strongest and weakest listed lofts for a more middle-of-the-range starting point. |
| 55 | 55° | This sits between the strongest and weakest listed lofts for a more middle-of-the-range starting point. |
| 57 | 57° | This sits between the strongest and weakest listed lofts for a more middle-of-the-range starting point. |
| 59 | 59° | This sits between the strongest and weakest listed lofts for a more middle-of-the-range starting point. |
| 61 | 61° | This is the weakest listed loft and the easiest-launching starting point within the model. |
Cobra Trusty Rusty Loft FAQs
What lofts does the Cobra Trusty Rusty come in?
The listed lofts are 49°, 51°, 53°, 55°, 57°, 59° and 61°.
What is the loft range of the Trusty Rusty?
It runs from 49° to 61°, a 12° total span.
What is the typical loft gap?
The median adjacent loft gap is 2°.
Which Trusty Rusty loft should launch highest?
The 61° option is the highest listed loft and should provide the highest-launching starting point, all else equal.
Can you adjust the loft?
The Trusty Rusty has no user-adjustable loft sleeve. Loft is changed, where the head construction permits it, by a club fitter placing the head in a loft-and-lie bending machine and bending the hosel to the measured target. Do not bend it by hand. Strengthening loft also reduces effective bounce by roughly the same amount; weakening loft adds roughly the same amount of bounce. The safe bending range depends on the exact head material and condition, so the fitter should measure the club first.
Does more loft always mean a better result?
No. The best loft depends on the club type, player delivery, strike and the distance or trajectory window you are trying to hit.
Spec & fitting disclaimer: Loft availability and specifications can vary by year, region, handedness and configuration. Verify the exact club with Cobra’s official documentation or an authorized fitter before ordering or adjusting equipment.
