Check strike before changing the club

High face Often raises launch and lowers spin. Do not keep raising the tee if flight is already high.
Low face Often lowers launch and adds spin. Raise tee height slightly before changing loft.
Heel Can add fade/slice gear effect. Improve centred contact before adding draw bias.
Toe Can add draw/hook gear effect. Check strike before adding fade bias.

How to adjust

  1. Use the correct Callaway torque wrench.
  2. Loosen counter-clockwise until the head separates.
  3. Rotate to a valid setting for this hosel generation.
  4. Fully reseat the head and align the marks.
  5. Tighten until the wrench clicks, then stop.

Best first changes

More launch Add loft one step first.
Less launch/spin Reduce loft one step first.
Right miss Use the more upright/draw direction only after strike is centred.
Left miss Use the flatter/neutral direction where the hosel provides it.
