How to adjust the Mizuno JPX-921 Forged
The head appears to be in a forged / forge-friendly family, but age, condition and previous bending still matter.
- Measure the club first.Record current loft and lie. Do not assume an older club is still at factory spec.
- Confirm the head can be bent.Material, hosel design, age and previous bending history determine the safe window.
- Bend in small increments.The fitter supports the hosel correctly and re-measures after each movement.
- Recheck gapping and turf interaction.A loft change also changes bounce and can alter offset, so the job is not finished when the loft number is reached.

Best starting point for the Mizuno JPX-921 Forged
Start with measured carry gaps through the set. Bend only the club or clubs creating the problem, and use the smallest loft change that restores a sensible progression. Mizuno’s current guidance allows irons up to 2° stronger, but historical heads still need model-specific inspection.
